AltShift2

Today the 3rd year graphics group gave us a presentation about their blog and what they feel makes good designers. Their blog has a lot of focus around trends in graphic design and the cliches that people tend to fall into. They gave us insight into thinking more about trends, what does and doesn't work and to really consider our target market before designing  a piece. The idea of considering trends but not fully relying on them was a strong message and to be curious and original is really something to push forward with. I felt this lecture was helpful to my ongoing work as it just reminded me to think about all aspects of design before following any trends or not fully considering the target market.
