Decode

We were asked as a year group to decide on a name for the whole exhibition and the most liked name was Decode. This linked to how we were all unfolding the attributes of the northern quarter. We were then asked to create a poster for the exhibition and the most liked poster will be chosen for the exhibition. I designed this poster in the theme of computer coding and decoding as I thought it fit the title well.

I looked at actual coding for the colors and layouts and used the same text that is used in the coding boxes. I also interpreted the coding adding my own captions like unit-x and cord bar as fake code and used common symbols.
I have also designed a flyer to go along side the poster and promote the exhibition. i wanted to keep the running theme and keep it simple.

The winning poster was this by Mark and Mitch. I thought this poster was really cleaver having the decoding system at the bottom getting the viewer to ‘decode’ the title. The colors work really well together standing out in the business of the northern quarter.
